OXE Diesel outboard engines

OXE Diesel outboard engines from OXE Marine

OXE Marine AB
WHAT IS OXE MARINE?

OXE Marine is the company behind the only diesel outboard engine for very demanding users. We were founded in 2012 with the ambition to create the world's first high-performance diesel outboard engine developed primarily for commercial use. We are driven by a passion to develop, improve and continue to change the future of the maritime market. In the spring of 2014 we completed our first diesel outboard motor, the OXE Diesel. Today, our diesel outboard engines are available through a global distribution network, but we don't stop there: we want to change the maritime world and make it prosperous. people and planet.

The OXE Diesel Outboard is the only outboard built specifically with commercial users in mind. It is designed for people who use their boat every day, in all conditions, and rely on the equipment for many hours every year. The innovation fills a new segment in the maritime industry and is unlike anything currently on the market. Efficiency, endurance, strength and control. That is why Hattink Maritiem has chosen this collaboration and this dealership with the Distributor of OXE Bukh Bremen 6-2024

OXE Technology:

OXE diesel outboard engines: durability, reliability, performance and environmental friendliness
OXE diesel outboard engines combine the reliability and endurance of marine inboard engines with the flexibility and maneuverability of outboard engines. They offer unprecedented efficiency, range, torque and agility. These are just some of the features that make the OXE Diesel the world's first high-performance outboard engine to meet the needs of commercial users.

The patented belt drive makes it possible to use the most modern, reliable and proven technologies. A powerful automotive-grade engine combined with a heavy-duty gearbox above the waterline creates a sleeker and hydrodynamically correct system below the waterline. This results in significantly lower air resistance than with conventional outboard systems.

OXE diesel outboard engines combine a number of innovations that were previously not possible with classic outboard engines from the leisure sector. Single-carbit loss and torque, load-to-speed change, crash-stop capability and low-speed control, as well as quick shifting.

All OXE diesel models meet stringent EPA Tier III, IMO Tier II and RCD standards, making them the first outboard engines in the world to meet these stringent environmental requirements. Thanks to diesel technology, OXE diesel outboard motors comply with the NATO single fuel policy that came into effect in 2015. The OXE diesel engines can operate on EN 590, ASTM D 975 No. 1 and No. 2, as well as JIS KK 2204, F54 and F75, giving users high flexibility and readily available fuel. HVO100 and other BioDiesels fuels are sustainable options that significantly reduce environmental impact.

Do I need an OXE outboard motor with a long shaft or a short shaft (tailpiece)?

Outboard shaft lengths are generally available in long or short shaft versions. Whether you need a long or short shaft outboard motor does not depend on the length of the boat, as many people think, but on the height of the transom. Below we explain the difference between short and long shaft outboard motors and answer the question "How do I determine the correct shaft length for my outboard motor?"
• A long outboard motor is suitable for boats with a high transom, usually larger than 15 inches (approximately 38 cm). A motor with a long shaft provides better performance and higher efficiency for larger boats, so it is not suitable for OXE outboard motors.
• A short shaft outboard motor, on the other hand, is used for boats with a low transom. This is usually less than 15 inches (approx. 38 cm). A short shaft has the advantage that it is much lighter and is therefore ideal for smaller boats and inflatable boats, so not suitable for OXE outboard motors.
There are also outboard motors with extra long shaft and extra long shaft for sailing boats and yachts. On these engines the length of the outboard shaft is considerably longer.
When choosing a suitable outboard motor for your boat, there are some important factors to consider to ensure you get the best possible performance and efficiency.
Start by carefully checking the manufacturer's instructions and recommendations. This is essential because different boat types and models may have specific requirements regarding short shafts or long shafts.
Then measure the exact height of your boat's transom to know exactly what shaft length you need.
Also take into account the depth of water in which you mainly sail and whether there may be any obstacles in the water.
Also think about your personal preferences and how you want to use your boat. Choosing a long or short shaft can also depend on whether you tend to travel longer distances or take short fishing trips.

Here's all the information at a glance:
Suitability of the shaft Length
Short shaft (normal length shaft) For boats with a low transom approx. 38 cm. (15 inch) S= Narrow K=Short Not suitable for OXE outboard motors
Long shaft For boats with a high transom approx. 50-51 cm. (20 inches) L=Large Not suitable for OXE outboard motors
Extra long shaft Usually only used on Sailboats or Rib boats and Yachts Approximately 63-64 cm. (25 inches) XL= Extra Large
Extra-extra long shaft Usually only used on Sailboats or Rib boats andc Yachts Approximately 76-83 cm cm. (33 inches) XXL= Extra Extra Large
